  • Soil Moist must be incorporated into the soil at the root level of the plant/green good. Do not top dress or place on the surface. All of our products should be kept out of drains. Dispose of in trash container. If material should enter a drain, add table salt and flush with hot water. Although our products are non-toxic and environmentally safe, they are not food products and should not be taken internally. Keep out of reach of children, or children should be supervised by an adult when handling these products.

  • SOIL MOIST™ is a synthetic acrylic polyacrylamide with a potassium salt base. It is a safe, non-toxic polymer used in all horticultural applications. When used according to the application rates, SOIL MOIST can reduce irrigation frequency by 50% and last 3 - 5 years in the soil.

  • Container & Flower Gardening

    Two methods available: sprinkle a small amount (1/2 tsp.) of SOIL MOIST in the plant hole, plant and cover with soil or apply one pound of SOIL MOIST per 100 square feet of ground area. Spread the polymer and work into the soil at a depth of three to four inches.

    Gardens and Landscaping

    Mix one pound of SOIL MOIST FINES with 20-40 gallons of water. Pour the Fines in slowly and agitate the water by mixing with a paddle or with the force of the water being added. Let the product stand for at least 15 minutes. The longer the gel is allowed to stand, the tackier it will become and the better it will adhere to the roots. Dip the plant/tree immediately before planting. Adjust the slurry to the thickness that best adheres to the roots. One pound will treat up to 12,000 seedlings. The Hydro can be used as a packing medium for transporting bare root stock. Dip or spray material on the root stock.

    Will Soil Moist damage my plants?

    Absolutely Not! Soil Moist is designed specifically for use with all indoor gardening, container gardening, flower gardening, houseplant care and vegetable gardening plants. Soil Moist use a Potassium-based polymer that is 100% safe for plants.

    How often do I need to water my plants when using SoilMoist?

    The frequency of watering varies, based on how much SoilMoist are used, how much soil is being watered, and how much water the plants require. As a general rule, using SoilMoist should cut your watering requirements in half. This is just an approximation. When you first start using SoilMoist, it is best to check the moisture in the soil at varying depths, over the course of 1-2 weeks, to determine when the soil starts to dry out for optimal plant care.

    Can I use Algoplus liquid fertilizers with SoilMoist?

    Yes! It's easy! First, dilute fertilizer with water as usual at the usual recommended rate. Then apply to SoilMoist either separately or, if the SoilMoist is already in place, water as usual. The SoilMoist will absorb the water and the fertilizer as needed to the plant.

    Is SoilMoist environmentally safe?

    SoilMoist is an environmentally safe, biodegradable product made with only the highest quality materials available on the market. SoilMoist uses potassium-based polymers, which are better for plant care, than other sodium-based products, which can harm plants and the environment. Over time, SoilMoist will slowly break down into its building blocks: ammonia, carbon dioxide and water, leaving no harmful residue. SoilMoist is great for use in indoor gardening, houseplant care, landscaping and other outdoor gardening.
